Mimi Sherman

Mimi Sherman Mimi has
taught meditation for the past eight years at various yoga studios,
meditation spaces and retreat centers in North Carolina entitled,
Slowing Down to the Speed of Soul. Her
students have ranged from adults in their early 70's to children as young
as 5. She teaches
meditation privately and has held corporate meditation trainings for such
clients as Wachovia. Mimi has also hosted community-wide prayer and meditation events called breathing circles to benefit
non-profit organizations seeking an innovative way to educate and inspire
the community to support their causes and raise funds.
In the past,
she has been a guest lecturer at UNC-Charlotte's graduate program for
Public Administration in Charlotte, NC on the affects of meditation in
conflict resolution. Mimi has also lectured at Davidson College on
meditation, vocation and the influences of spirituality on
creativity. As a writer,
she has freelanced for The Charlotte Observer
in the Faith and Values section and is currently finishing a book
of poetry on her Zen-like observations of the sand and surf while walking
12 - 15 miles a day on the shores of Florida. __________________________
